Who We Are
Ekids is a childcare centre registered with the Ministry of Welfare. It adopts the renowned FunGates System, a curriculum that incorporate guidelines from the Ministry of Education, Malaysia for kindergarten. With the FunGates System, Ekids creates opportunity for children to learn and grow in a setting that infuses ‘learning is fun’ to build self-confidence, social skills, and a lifetime love for learning. Ekids also provides enrichment class in Music.
Ekids is situated at Bukit Sri Bintang within the neighborhood of Desa Parkcity, SPK Sunway, Bandar Menjalara, Taman Bukit Maluri, Taman Sri Sinar, Kepong Baru and Taman Sri Bintang in Kepong.
Ekids‘ teachers are caring, loving, dedicated, highly motivated and professionally trained in the FunGates System to offer personalized attention and support to each child. Some have obtained Diploma in Early Childhood Education or are degree holders. These personnel play the important role as an educator, advisor, facilitator and care provider of all children at Ekids.
Ekids firmly believe that to achieve maximum success and optimal growth and development of the child, a good parent-teacher relationship is necessary and impertinent. Thus, we frequently rope in parents’ participation in the school activities.
Our History
Ekids began operations in the year 2001 in Kepong surrounded then by Bandar Manjalara, Taman Bukit Maluri, Taman Sri Bintang, Taman Sri Sinar and Kepong Baru. When Ekids first begin its operations it was managed under sole proprietorship and later incorporated under a private limited company the following year.
Ekids started with an enrolment of 95 children and today its student body has increased to almost 200 children. Since its inception, we are proud to have seen 560 children graduating from Ekids.
Ekids firmly believes the benefits and success of the FunGates System, has opened two branches, Tadika E-ceria in Sunway, Petaling Jaya and Tadika E-Sinaran in Butterworth, Penang.
Our Goals
The goals of the Ekids Child Development Centre are to make available from our ongoing and developing knowledge base, the appropriate educational programs, teaching methods, and pedagogy to help develop our nation’s human resources beginning at the most fundamental level, our children. Only through proper fundamentals can children be equipped to have the self-confidence, motivation, and determination to continue to drive Malaysia towards long-term national goals. As society, education, and technology continue to change, children must be equipped to respond, adapt, and lead change as they mature.
Our Philosophy
We believe that each child is a CHAMPION and the child learns best when and where learning is fun. We believe in providing a clean, safe and child-oriented environment to allow children to explore, experience and most importantly to build up good characters and values in the child. We believe that families are source of information about their children and have the most significant influence in the child’s life therefore, they play an important role in the child’s total development.
